From Dr. Graham’s Desk
For many Christians today, mental health struggles are taboo. They feel too afraid to discuss them out of fear of being judged.
As a pastor, this breaks my heart because the Bible is full of these kinds of struggles. Take Psalm 102 for example. The psalmist writes…
“For my days pass away like smoke, and my bones burn like a furnace…. For I eat ashes like bread and mingle tears with my drink.” (vv. 3, 9)
Were we to title the various entries in the book of Psalms, this one would be called “Depressed.” All of us face dark nights of the soul, which is why I wrote my new book, Reignite—to offer biblical encouragement in those difficult seasons.
It’s my thanks to you for your gift today, which will help proclaim that same encouragement to people tuning into PowerPoint on TV, radio, and online. Thank you for helping bring the hope of Christ to those who need it most!
