“And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”
—1 Corinthians 6:11
I have a responsibility to speak to the issues and the events of our times. It is my prayer that I will present biblical truth and not personal ideology, or philosophy, or simply cultural truth, which is changeable; but rather biblical and scriptural truth, which is unchangeable.
The Bible is clear to say that there is only one sexual relationship that is called sacred and hallowed by God. That one sexual relationship given by God as a gift to mankind is one man, one woman in the bonds and in the beauty of marriage as long as they both shall live.
The promise of Scripture is that any sinner, regardless of the sin can be washed, can be cleansed, can be forgiven and sanctified because of the finished work of Christ, because Calvary covers it all. There is no sin, including the sin of homosexuality and all other kinds of sin, which cannot be forgiven in the grace of God.
God’s church is always the ally of anyone who is struggling with sin. And we are all struggling with sin, every one of us. You may or may not be struggling with this sin. But is there anybody who would stand up and say, “Not me, Pastor. I’m not struggling with anything. I’ve got complete victory in Jesus every day?” Of course not. We’re all struggling with sin!
I URGE CHRISTIANS EVERYWHERE TO BE CARING AND COMPASSIONATE WITH THE SINFUL AND WITH THE SUFFERING.
